Finding Hope in the World’s Darkness (Join me on FB Live tomorrow)

I know I said that you wouldn’t be hearing from me until after the New Year, but something happened a couple of nights ago that made me rethink this.

I woke up at 2am; and, to help me get back to sleep, I headed into the kitchen to heat up some almond milk.

Sipping it in the dark, the blue light of the full moon pouring in through the windows, I sat in my bathrobe, feeling the pain in my aching heart.

I know I’m not alone in this.

There’s so much uncertainty and turmoil churning in the world right now. From the execution of innocent civilians in Aleppo, to news that Russians hacked the U.S. election, to the Electorate College’s revote next week….tragedy and chaos abound.

Amidst all of this, one thing is clear: as we enter 2017, we’re stepping into a very uncharted future. And, rather than burying our heads in the sand, we need to get resourced and ready.

I’m here to remind us all that it’s in times like these that we need our spiritual practices and communities more than ever.

Because of this, I feel called to come out of my winter hibernation tomorrow to offer some inspiration and connection amidst all that is swirling in our world, and in our hearts.

Join me tomorrow at 10am PT / 1pm ET for a live video stream on our The Way of the Happy Woman Facebook page.

I’ll be sharing some simple practices and perspectives to help kindle hope amidst all the darkness we’re facing at this time of year….and in the world at large….right now.

Simply head over to, “like” the page, and refresh it at 10am PT.

You’ll be able to watch me live and chat in the comments with me and all the other women joining in. (If you can’t make it live, you’ll find the recording on the page right after broadcast.)

I really look forward to connecting with you then.

From my courageous heart to yours,

Hello, beautiful. I’m Sara: a teacher of feminine spiritual and empowerment, author, and founder of The Way of the Happy Woman. I’m also the leader of The SHE School and the SHE Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training. Here’s the truth: I don’t want to be your guru. But I am wholeheartedly devoted to guiding women back to their own, inner wisdom, through feminine spiritual practices, yoga, meditation, and a whole lotta love (and guts). This work is my truest calling and greatest joy. I’m so happy to have the chance to share it with you.
