Should Women “Do” Yoga & Meditation Differently?

Have you ever done something “good” for yourself — that ended up backfiring?

Like switching to healthier nut milk — and finding out you’re allergic.

Or taking up jogging — only to be crippled by shin splits for 4 months.

Or signing up for a therapy session — and walking away feeling traumatized.

It’s not just what we do that heals and transforms us. It’s how we do it. (Especially for sensitive souls like us.)

Over the years I’ve openly shared with you how my initial pursuits in yoga and meditation (and even in running my business), though wonderful and life-changing in so many ways, were also outlets for my perfectionism, unhealthy drive, and self-loathing.

Only when I adopted a softer, more feminine and intuitive approach to these things could I start to heal my body and old emotional wounds, genuinely love myself, and live from my intuitive and genuine feminine self.

This feminine style of yoga & meditation (as well as the living and teaching of these principles) is what I’ve now devoted my life to.

If you feel called to live this way, too, I invite you to join me for the SHE Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training 2018, which opened today for early registration.

This year’s training (which feels more like a restorative retreat) will take place in my old homeland of Thailand. I haven’t been back for a few years, and I for one am very excited to return!

FEBRUARY 17-24, 2018

We’ll meet at the luxurious, Moroccan-inspired Absolute Sanctuary resort, on the tropical island of Koh Samui (a one hour plane flight from Bangkok). I’ve held several retreats here over the past decade, and each time every woman– without exception– has an off-the-charts, life-changing, and deeply nourishing experience.

This past April I hosted the first SHE Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training in California, and, once again, every woman (including myself) was blown away by the depth of our sisterhood, insights, and surge in confidence and self-expression.

Here’s a photo of us on our final morning:

For the next 10 days, I’m offering an early registration discount of $500, as well as a 6-month payment plan option, for the 2018 training in Thailand.

Women of all ages, ethnicities, and seasons of life gather at this retreats. This is for you if you want to teach this style of women’s yoga and meditation; if you simply want to cultivate a more genuine and fulfilling home practice; and if you want to increase your sense of freedom, power, and self-expression in all areas of your life.

If you’ve ever wondered …

What if being a woman weren’t some pesky detail of your yoga practice — but the foundation?

What if there were a softer, more restorative and thoughtful path of embodied, feminine awakening?

What if you had the tools and insights to support the women in your community better, wiser, with more vitality and depth?

… then this is for you.

Here’s what one woman shared after this year’s training:

“This experience has been like coming home. As someone who leads women’s yoga classes, I realized how alone I have felt in the yoga world. Finding a spiritual community doing yoga and practicing feminine spirituality made me realize I am not alone and gave me strength to keep getting louder about the work I do.

As a busy mom and business owner, I don’t get much silence or space to be quiet on my own. The built-in essential silence felt like heaven to me and helped me hear my true voice for the first time in a long time.

I really got that I am my own authority. I don’t need a guru or a masculine lineage of yoga to deepen into myself.

Overall, I’m just very grateful you are doing your work. You have inspired me to keep getting louder about my work and to seek out more women’s yoga teachers/leaders in my community.”
