Note from Sara

Dear Friends,

After a couple of years of hiatus, my newsletter is back in action! Let me know how you like this new format and what you'd like to hear/see more here...

My intention with these mailings is to give us all a bi-weekly touch point before we dive into our Mondays. For me, Sundays are sacred days. Not because of any religious orientation, but because they are my days to rest, abandon making plans with anyone, and to get clear about my upcoming week. With these notes I hope for us to share a common pause--to reflect, step back, and therefor see more clearly before moving ahead.

This week, what is your intention? What is it that you'd most like to see/be/do? Write it down in a word or a few on a notecard and tape it up on your wall. For me, for this week, my word is: EASE. I have some busy days ahead, with more plates spinning in the air than possibly ever before in my life as I get ready for my book tour and launch. Today I'm asking myself: How can I do all that I'm doing with full breath, ease, and a smile? One step at a time?

I'll let you know how it goes this time next week!

Favorite Recipes...

Salad with Carrot and Ginger Dressing

Ingredients

For salad
1 head of baby gem lettuce (or any greens), roughly cut
1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
1/4 avocado, diced

For dressing
1 large carrot, peeled and roughly chopped
1 large shallot, peeled and roughly chopped
2 tablespoons roughly chopped fresh ginger
1 tablespoon sweet white miso
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon roasted sesame seed oil
1/4 cup grapeseed oil
2 tablespoons water

Preparation
Pulse the carrot, shallot and ginger in a blender until finely chopped. Scrape down the sides, add the miso, vinegar and sesame seed oil
and whiz together. While the blender is going, slowly drizzle in the grapeseed oil and the water.
Combine the lettuce, onion and avocado in a bowl, drizzle with plenty of dressing and serve.
